These models are denoted with an HSB at the end of the model number. Topaz offers a C API library that works on Windows and Linux, but not Mac OS X unfortunately.

It should be possible to create a API binding and use it in an application to utilize the signature pad. Admittedly, I have not used it, since I don't own a Topaz device, but it might be useful to others. Unfortunately, but somewhat expectedly, signature pads and other point-of-sale devices don't seem to include Mac compatibility. I've also used the FTDI converter with an RS application on the Macso I know that part works. Thank you Seth. This is good start point. However I'm still looking for a more portable unit, as this will be used to sign agreements on portable machines.
