The cast has also put 51 singles in the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, and are ahead of as of October 2013, behind only with 64, with 57 and with 80. As of April 2013, the cast has sold more than 53 million songs and over 13 million albums worldwide including 45.2 million downloads and 7.9 million albums sold in the U.S. Alone as of March 2015. The instrumental arrangements of 'Somebody to Love', 'Keep Holding On', 'Lean on Me', 'True Colors', and 'My Life Would Suck Without You' were also released as singles. Three separate covers of 'Defying Gravity' were released as singles: one by , one by , and one with both. The version that charted features both. 'Last Christmas' was released as a during the first season; the song had not then appeared on the series.
